Impacts on Environment, Community and Economy
Environmental impact:
A bushfire can impact on the environment and effects all four spheres (atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere).
Impact on community:
The effect on the community includes the loss of homes, schools and offices (and other infrastructure), which are burned down or destroyed in fires. Many people also die in the fires, leaving many small communities devastated.
Impact on the economy:
Hundreds of millions of dollars in damage costs help the communities recover, firstly by putting out the fires and then beginning the clean up of the area. These costs can be immense; for example, Black Saturday bushfires cost 1.9 billion.

The damage to towns such as Kinglake, Victoria after the Black Saturday bushfires was immense. However, Kinglake maintained a community spirit which helped the town through the bushfires.
